I was once on top and I also failed so many times. I've been in both situations. So, whenever I achieved something glorious, I only shared it with families and few good friends who had nothing to do with my achievement. I shared it with families because they paid for everything and they've put high expectation at me. As for good friends, these people varies and change from time to time. For example, if I excelled in my studies, I won't talk about it with the friend who is not as lucky as I am. I will only talk about it with the people who had nothing to do with it and definitely won't be sad and jealous of it.
Therefore, for those reasons, I kept my success in silent and the same thing happen when I failed.
